SSDP Architecture
The SSDP project architecture facilitates the following high-level system requirements:
-
Ability to receive scientific data from various existing sites
-
Ability to easily create adapters to receive and process new types of data
from new sites while maintaining integrity in the application framework
-
Ability to store and process scientific data by applying algorithms and external tools
-
Ability to deliver data and data products to the space science community in desirable formats
-
Must be able to provide statistics on the system and expose usage patterns
-
Must be flexible enough to extend application features
-
Must be able to work with data sets collected from the CANOPUS and CGSM project
The Canadian Space Science Data Portal is funded in part by the Canadian Space Agency (CSA),
CANARIE Inc. (CANARIE), the Alberta Science and Research Authority (ASRA), and the University of Alberta (UofA).
